We love a good coffee sneaker here at Sprudge. Be it a coffee-inspired colorway, a collaboration between a cafe and a sneaker company, or a shoe made out of coffee, we love all manner of coffee sneaker with the entirety of our heart and sole. Los Angeles’ Caffe Luxxe is getting into the coffee sneaker game and are giving away a custom 1-of-1 pair of Nike Air Jordan Retro Low OGs that have been dipped in coffee. All you have to do is go to one of their LA locations and ‘Gram your kicks.
The custom sneaker is a collaborative effort between Caffe Luxxe, #WearYourSneakers, designer Mark Nash, and artist Art Mobb as a way to “celebrate community love, passion for coffee and all things sneakers,” per the press release. Starting out white and gray, the Nike Air Jordan Retro Low OG gets hand-dipped into Caffe Luxxe coffee, transforming the sneaker into a soft latte colorway. Caffe Luxxe’s line-drawing rosetta logo also makes an appearance on the heel of the shoe, and the standard white laces get traded out for the brand’s “Italian sunshine yellow.” Designed by Mark Davis, these one-of-a-kind sneaker is valued at around $1,500.
“We noticed so many cool sneakers on feet coming in and out of our caffes, that we thought, what if we designed one ourselves to celebrate our passion for coffee, sneaker art, design, and community,” said Gary Chau, the co-founder of Caffe Luxxe.
The sneakers are the grand prize of Caffe Luxxe’s monthlong giveaway that began in early April and runs until May 8th. To enter, all you have to do is visit one of the eight Caffe Luxxe locations and snap a photo of your sneakers alongside your Caffe Luxxe drink. Then post the pic on Instagram, making sure to tag @caffeluxxe and @wearyoursneakersofficial (and make sure you are following both accounts). Then at the end of each week, they will choose a winner, who will receive swag, coffee, gift cards, etc. On the last week, though, the winner takes home the grand prize, the custom Jordans.
